Hibox Aura Android application privacy policy

The app is connected to a user account and to the information given during registration

The app collects the following information about the user:

  • Purchases, to keep track of payments and give access to purchased content
  • Any app settings/configuration available on the device are persisted on server and between devices
  • Playback sessions of non-live content (e.g. recordings, VOD). This enables bookmark (continue watching) functionality

The app collects the following information about the device:

  • The most recent IP address in use when using the app, for debug, content right and restriction purposes.
  • The Android ID of the device
  • The model and brand of the device

If the app crashes, we collect a log that includes some information about the version of your app, the device used and some memory data for debug purposes. Any data collected by Hibox Systems will not be disclosed to third parties. Any personal data will be deleted upon request to Hibox Systems. Microphone capability is solely used by third party services integrated into the app. Audio is not stored or processed by Hibox Systems.

  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (For push notifications)
  • Google Cloud speech API (For voice recognition ), uses microphone
  • Chromecast (For casting to Chromecast ), uses microphone for pairing
